The correct answer is:
CHECK THE SOLUTION

Ans. 1

Sol. Speed of bike = 72 × = 20 m/s

speed of jeep = 90 × = 25 m/s.

relative velocity of jeep w. r. t. bike = 25 – 20 = 5 m/sdistance covered by bike in 10s = 20 × 10

= 200 m.

time taken by Jeep to cover 200 m with velocity 5 m/s. t = = 40 s.

Therefore distance covered by police jeep in40 s

= 40 × 25 = 1000 m

= 1 km.
